Now, indebted to them for paying for your night’s stay, you were determined not to let that go unpaid. But, unable to exchange your essvons for cogs in the village, you had no choice but to travel with Ameronis to the nearest city; Derna.
You arrived after noon and checked into a hotel; Slaryn House, then set about finding an exchange. With cogs in hand and debt paid, you set out to find food and begin exploring the city. Now, the city is your oyster.

Chapter 2:
You began to explore the city, buying new clothes and looking for places to eat; the food you found was terrible. You learned of several venues, including a theatre, Josey’s bar, and the dance hall Stardust, as well as discovering The Pit fighting club. You then got lost.
Despite your best efforts, you ended up wandering deeper into the maze of alleys, eventually ending up on a high street parallel to the first. After struggling to find someone to help you, you eventually got directions, and whilst following them, were accosted by a thief.
Unwilling to surrender, you distracted the thief and struck back. The two of you fought and you were victorious, leaving the thief unconscious with a nasty gash. You bound his wound, confiscating his loot and weapons in the process, then left him in the alley, eventually reaching Slaryn House.

Chapter 3:
After your encounter with the thief last night, you inspected the items you confiscated from him. Your initial decision was to turn them in to the police, but after breakfast and a discussion with Ameronis, you decided it might be better to learn more about the police first.
Leaving to continue your exploration, you left in the morning and begin to explore the local area, discovering new sights and locations, including a local market on a street called ‘Banes Way’. In the afternoon, you attended the theatre, and watched a baffling play called Bloodlines.
You tried lunch at a nearby shop, but hated it. Returning to Slaryn House, you met Ameronis, who suggested you visit a local bar to see if the drinks were any better. There, you met Josey, had a few drinks, and learned of a rival bar. Afterwards, you and Ameronis set out to look for a decent dinner.

Chapter 4:
After Josey’s bar, you and Ameronis visited Bane’s Way and enjoyed a meal from Kisicat Spring. You narrowly avoided a fight with an enraged man after colliding with him. Later, you arrived at Stardust and enjoyed the performances, before moving to visit The Rusty Bell.
The rival bar was in contrast to Josey’s, and inside, Ameronis found and befriended a group of card-playing gambling men. After watching her play with and win against them, she mentioned her desire to visit The Pit, and her new friends offered to lead you both there to watch the fights.
Amidst the large crowd, your party watched and bet on the fights, though you abstained, save for a single, no-risk challenge from Ameronis, which you won. After watching several matches, your group prepared to leave, until you and Ameronis spotted the enraged man from earlier enter the ring.

Chapter 5:
You watched the man, Assari the Tainted, lose his match, concluding that he would not have been able to beat you and Ameronis in a fight. The two of you returned to Stardust and enjoyed the show, After leaving, you encountered a man chasing after a thief, with both running towards you.
Unwilling to let the thief escape, you barred his path and removed his knife when a fight broke out between the two men. Wanting to thank you properly for your help, the man, Omon, told you to return to Stardust the next day. There, you ended up in a meeting with an unknown man instead.
The man, Shuzo Lomack, turned out to be the manager of Stardust, who offered you thanks and rewards on behalf of himself and Omon, who was unable to be present. He offered you a job as a Sentinel; a plainclothes watchman in the club, then let you go, encouraging you to consider his offer.

Chapter 6:
You decided against taking up Lomack’s offer, and instead returned to exploring; your new goal was to meet new people. You bought a paper to learn more about local people and events, and sat in the park to read in peace. There, a beggar, the same one from before, asked you for some spare change.
You took the beggar to the market to buy him shoes and food instead, and learned his name; Finnegan. He offered to take you to a place you just read about; The Grand Jamboree. After spotting his friend Melora, you agreed to make a pit-stop at his camp to check on their sick friend Leif.
The tent city is a hellish place. There, you met the sick Leif and his dog Rufle, and learned about the beggars, their struggles, and how they get by, thanks to food and work from the nearby soup kitchen, factories and washhouse. Then, you and Finnegan on your way to the Jamboree grounds.

Inspired by your tales, the women excitedly discussed the idea of adventuring themselves, and later, you agreed to attend the Grand Jamboree with them after you shared your plan to. You left for lunch at Bane’s Way, then returned in the evening with Ameronis, ready to attend the Jamboree.
You enjoyed the experience, and played an archery game; you did poorly, with one woman claiming foul play. She encouraged you to visit The Warrior’s Edge in Steelhaven for real archery. Later, you visited The Copper Mug tavern with the washerwomen, then returned to Slaryn House for the night.

You and Ameronis arrived at The Warrior’s Edge where you saw the facilities and learned about what else was on offer. Terris, the woman from The Grand Jamboree, turned out to be the archery instructor, and welcome you, Ameronis and a handful of other newcomers to the class.
You learned the archery basics and did poorly, but Terris seems to be a good teacher. She showed her skills, and assistant teacher Sin showed poor skill in archery but excelled with a throwing knife. After the lesson, you and Ameronis joined the teachers for lunch in The Warrior’s Heath tea house.
Inside, you, Ameronis, Terris, Sin, and students Kemon and Jent shared stories of life in Derna and on the road. Sin praised your resourcefulness and encouraged you to attend his climbing session; after a short period of watching him and his students, you and Ameronis set off to visit the beggars.

Soon, the two of you decided to tour the city to find an old fortress Ameronis had heard about. You travelled to the West and crossed the Minor Aveseran river, rode through opulent districts, and saw an elaborate ship sailing up the Grand Aveseran river. Then you headed back towards Slaryn House.
On your way back, you passed by the grounds of The Tempered Atrium, was is currently hosting “The Treasures of Jight” trade fair, and exclusive event. Back in East Derna, you and Ameronis recounted your latest adventures to Josey, before you parted ways from Ameronis, and left to visit Stardust.

Chapter 10:
After being awoken by Ameronis and having no memory of how you ended up falling asleep dishevelled and bloodied, the two of you went to Captain Cedric’s duelling class at The Warrior’s Edge. You practised poorly against another student, before having to face the Captain himself.
Your duel against the Captain was even worse, but you were not sure if you really would do that badly against the him normally. After the lesson, Ameronis spoke of performing well, but disliking the Captain and not wanting to return. Afterwards, you both made your way to the beggar camp.
There, you learned of Silas’ problem with Oliver Soza; the new landlord of the shop the beggars were previously camping near. Having had them evicted and their items confiscated, he’s now trying to sell something precious that belongs to Silas. Appalled, Ameronis decided to investigate.

Chapter 11:
Silas led you to Bradwyn & Holden’s store, where Silas’ beautiful black pendant and box is on display for sale. Unprompted, Ameronis went on a recon mission into the store, and relayed the false story Soza told her about the pendant. With Silas frustrated, Ameronis volunteered you both to help him.
Already intending to help, the three of you began plotting ways to return the pendant to Silas. Seeing as the law enforcers would not help, the only option is to break in and steal is back. The three of you spent the evening preparing, then met at the Grand Jamboree to hear Silas’ initial report.
After learning of the store’s night watchman and Silas’s confidence in breaking in, the three of you agreed to meet at Stardust to kill some time and continue plotting. While you waited for Silas to arrive, you spent the time downstairs, attempting to piece together the activities from last night.
=========================================================================
Chapter 12:
After failing to learn any more facts upstairs, you met with Silas and Ameronis and continued to plan. As you prepared to leave, a woman name Rizha claimed to know you from last night, so you spent time with her to jog your memory. When she left, you returned to Slaryn House to rest.
Later, the break-in at Bradwyn & Holden’s went very well, until it suddenly didn’t. The watchman became aware of your presence, but the arrival of a disbelieving law enforcer made things difficult for you and the watchman. Trapped in the store, you and Silas had to think fast.
Soon after, a second law enforcer arrived. Using the distraction, and with Ameronis giving the all clear, you and Silas managed to escape the store, and the three of you fled the area. You left the loot with Silas in the tent City, and returned to Slaryn House, seeing off a mugger along the way.
=========================================================================
Chapter 13:
After waking from a vivid dream of your heist, you and Ameronis re-joined Silas to debrief and inspect the loot. He thanked you, assured you no one in the camp would snitch, let you to keep some loot, then offered his recovered compass to you, and the back/gold pendant to Ameronis.
Ameronis tried to refuse, but after Silas said he wanted to part with those reminders of his past, you both agreed. You returned to Slaryn house to go over your expenses and consider how to keep your funds topped up; you could sell the stolen loot, look for work or take up Lomack’s job offer.
Afterwards, you and Ameronis attended Captain Cedric swordplay class, but you did quite badly. Then, with no other plans, you began to explore East, wandering along the canals through increasingly destitute areas until a woman asked you if you had seen a missing man.
=========================================================================
Chapter 14:
Along the canal, you encountered a woman searching for a missing man, but you hadn’t seen him so couldn’t help. Moving off the canal, you discovered the historic walled town of Blackminster, and opposite, packed tenements with dozens of poorer residents, and a small, bustling market square.
You checked the market, avoided a young pickpocket, then bought lunch. You eventually got caught in the rain and ended up on another canal. Sheltering at an abandoned factory, you witnessed a bunch of men fleeing from some unseen pursuer; one of the men slipped and fell into the canal.
You quickly rescued the man, then ran into the factory to hide. Whilst trying to make your way through it, you ended up in a converted encampment. Near the end, some residents became hostile, and after threatening your way out, you ended up in an alley, trapped by a group of armed men.
=========================================================================
Chapter 15:
You were trapped with enemies on both sides, but with a bit of cunning and luck, you were able to avoid a deadly fight and make a break for it. But, things didn’t go completely according to plan, and you ended up scuffling with a thug, before both of you were bundled into a prison cart by local law enforcers.
After a thorough investigation, you were freed from your short stay in jail. Vigilante law enforcer Nermal explained the tough situations in Reddbarrow, and protected you from minor retaliation from the thugs outside the jail. Escorted by Nermal, you finally left Reddbarrow and returned to Slaryn House.
Re-joining Ameronis after a long day, you met with Silas at Stardust to celebrate your heist. There, you encountered Rizha and Omon, and Rizha’s brother Victor, and, after asking for their opinions about Lomack and the Law Enforcers, you were left with plenty to think about regarding your next steps.
